Thanks to one of our homeowners for stepping up at our February board meeting to tell us about his recent purchase of an auto-dialing alarm, used to monitor homes remotely. While we aren't endorsing a specific manufacturer's product, we do encourage residents who travel throughout the winter months to look in to such a system that can detect:
... once alarms are detected, phone calls and alarm messages can be sent to notify you or the people left in charge of your home while you're away.
With recent furnace issues in some resident's homes, resulting in the time, mess and loss from subsequent water damage, we highly recommend you look in to a remote monitoring system for your home.

While homeowners can complete upgrades to their personal property, it is required, for compliancy sake, that the landscape request forms are completed and submitted to the appropriate committees in advance. Forms are available in the mail kiosks and as a download on our site here.
Due to recent aesthetic concerns about Lake Country Village properties - and questions following our Fall 2014 homeowner survey - we wanted to remind you about the proper procedures for making changes outside of your homes.
While certain repairs and maintenance (per our 2014 resolution) are the responsibility of the homeowner, changes MUST be requested and approved by the appropriate committees. Building and landscape request forms can be found in the kiosks as well as on our HOA Doc's page.
LCV is a lovely place to live and we appreciate the care that all of our homeowners put in to our properties.

Following our 1st major snowfall of the season, many people emailed complaints about snow removal but only a handful of people attended our December meeting to discuss what's going on in LCV and the challenges of the season. This is the time we ask people to step up and join our committees as we work to plan future snow removal contracts, landscape contracts, roofing contracts and our budget for the next year. We cannot do this alone... please consider sharing your skills and expertise by joining a Lake Country Village Committee in 2015.
Thanks to everyone (a small group of 7), including Paul Hart, who attended our monthly board meeting this evening to discuss winter snow removal. It was a hearty discussion that resulted in these items that you can do as a community to help:
Our snow removal contract mandates that clearing driveways is PRIORITY, followed by residential sidewalks and finally city sidewalks.
Paul and his team are working diligently... interrupting them interrupts their work. Please refrain from sharing your issues with Hart's directly and contact our Property Manager immediately with your concerns.
We genuinely appreciate you coming to the meetings to voice your concerns. LCV needs volunteers from the community to join our committees so we can address ongoing issues and concerns as we create contracts for our vendors moving forward. Please assist us to make this community run as smoothly as possible every season of the year.
Finally, a reminder, keep an eye on your neighbors throughout these long winter months.
